In June 2024, the International Exchange Program for Chinese Junior Scholars was officially launched at the 2024 Academic Meeting of the Chinese Association of Pancreatology (CAP). The establishment of this program aims to provide a broad international academic exchange platform for outstanding young talents in the field of pancreatic diseases in China. 

Each year, this program will sponsor outstanding young Chinese scholars to participate in international academic events hosted by foreign academic organizations such as the American Pancreatic Association (APA), the Japan Pancreas Society (JPS), and the European Pancreatic Club (EPC). After recommendation, selection, and approval by the Chinese Association of Pancreatology (CAP), eight young doctors will participate in the 55th Annual Meeting of the American Pancreatic Association (APA) this December.

The launch of the International Exchange Program for Chinese Junior Scholars is a significant move by the Chinese Association of Pancreatology (CAP) to actively promote international exchange and cooperation, and cultivate world-class pancreatic disease experts. Since its establishment in 2022, the association has made remarkable progress in international exchanges within just two years. It has signed a cooperation agreement with the American Pancreatic Association (APA), jointly organized international conferences, organized delegations to participate in conferences and exchanges in the United States, and conducted multiple mutual visits between Chinese and American scholars, among other international academic exchange activities. These efforts have continuously enhanced the international status of the association. The implementation of the International Exchange Program for Chinese Junior Scholars will undoubtedly accelerate the internationalization process of Chinese pancreatic disease research, making China's voice louder on the world academic stage.
